On the 6th of June at Social-Recreation office №1 of “Complex Center of social service of Viborg district population” “Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center” organized a joint concert of Social-Recreation Center’s group and of group “Spring of Song” of the Association of retiree of Yunnan province, PRC.

During the concert some traditional songs of PRC were sung, but the main topic of the concert was singing the songs about WWII, songs which were reminding joint heroism of Soviet and Chinese people, while defeating Germany and Japan. The concert was held in order to maintain collaboration between Russia and PRC.

 Since the 11th of June to the 23rd 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand, assisted by “Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center”, students of St. Petersburg universities participated in Summer Camp, which was considered on the theme of “Stable economic development”. Considering their essays, which were about economic development of one of the countries of Asia Pacific region, 5 students won the competition and presented St. Petersburg at that summer camp.

On the 22nd of June 2016 “Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center” organized a seminar between the representatives of the Committee of politic technologies, propaganda and agitation and the Academy of political technologies and social science of the Institute of ethnic population of Shandong province, PRC. Chinese delegation was headed by the chief of the Committee, Missis Lu Baoli and some representatives of the Department of the theory and history of international relations of International Relations faculty, SPBU, which were headed by Svetlana Vinogradova.

 During the seminar both sides mentioned very important issues about working process of analytical researching centers of Russia and PRC. They also discussed the specific features of using researches of public opinion in using political technologies for the state interests. Both sides exchanged their experiences of using new methods in teaching in the field of political technologies and propaganda and agreed on future collaboration.

 Within the framework of scientific and educational collaboration between St. Petersburg and some countries of Asia Pacific Region, “Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center” organized the participation of students in International student festival in Daegu city (Republic of Korea), Daegu International Summer Camp 2016, which was held since the 7th of August to the 13th of August. In the program of festival different presentation of cities and universities were included, as well as some excursions, Korean language and culture lessons, taekwondo trainings and tutorials on how to play traditional Korean musical instruments.

  On the 21st of September 2016 “Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center” organized a discussion panel at the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Federation Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration with the delegation of representatives of the Institute of Management of Chengdu city, PRC, which was headed by the vice-president, mister Xie Yuxin. The aim of the working process was to become acquainted with the work system of Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, the discussion of the possibility of making joint science-practical conferences. Also they discussed a possible participation in joint educational projects on the field of making higher the qualification of professors, as well as future students exchange programs and long-term collaboration. As a result, both sides signed a memorandum about their intention to develop student exchange program between two universities.

As part of the development of scientific and educational cooperation between St. Petersburg and the Asia-Pacific region, the Center sends a delegation of students and post-graduate students to participate in the International Student Festival in Daegu Daegu International Summer Camp 2015, which will be held from 9 to 14 August. The festival includs presentation of cities and university of participants, excursions, lessons of korean language and culture, taekwondo classes and playing traditional Korean musical instruments.

Center formed a delegation of students of St. Petersburg to participate in the International Youth Peace Conference in Hiroshima, Japan, which will be held August 4-14. The conference is timed to the 70th anniversary of its atomic bombing of Hiroshima. On the basis of the essay competition in English on the theme: "Looking young: The world wants peace! What we can do for peaceful dialogue between nations, preventing wars and armed conflicts and guarantee peace and security in the world ", were selected to attend the students of St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

From 16 to 25 June in the twin-city of St. Petersburg - Bangkok (Kingdom of Thailand) with the assistance of the Center students from Saint Petersburg Universities take part in a summer student camp dedicated to the subject of "sustainable economic development". Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center has selected five students of St. Petersburg universities on the basis of the essay competition in English about the experience of economic development of the participating countries.

The Centre in consort with the Committee on Tourism of the Government of Mianyang, Sichuan Province, China, are preparing the International Festival of Tourism and Culture Day named Li Bo, which will be held from 26 to 29 September. The festival is planned for the International Cultural and Tourism Forum "Li Po - A.S. Pushkin .: talking through the centuries." Li Bo - a famous romantic poet of ancient China, a native of Sichuan Province today (g.Myanyan). AlexanderPushkin is well known in China, many remember his poems.Despite the fact that consequently lived at different times, it is retained therebetween many similarities. The parties are currently preparing the festival program.

The Centre is preparing the visit of the delegation of St. Petersburg to participate in the Days of the sister cities in Daegu (South Korea), which will be held from 22 to 26 July 2015. In the framework of the festival includes meetings between representatives of sister cities, tours, performances of creative groups from different countries.

From 13 to 17 October in the city of Daegu will be the International Choir Festival. The choir of St. Petersburg invited to participate.Currently it is undergoing accepting applications from creative teams.

Negotiations on the participation of opera ensembles of St. Petersburg at the International Opera Festival in g.Degu and participation in collective g.Degu music festivals in St. Petersburg.

Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center supports the Federation of  winter swimming of St. Petersburg in cooperation with the Committee of the National Association of winter swimming swimming Administration of China and Shandong Province. With the assistance of the Centre party established cooperation in 2011, each year, meetings are held and competitions. From 7 to 13 January the annual trip to China the representatives of the Federation of health training and winter swimming of St. Petersburg to participate in the International Festival of winter swimming in spring water in the city of Jinan. Ceremonial presentation of diplomas of honorary members of the Club of hardening and winter swimming of St. Petersburg two Chinese swimmers.

In carrying out the program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, aimed at improving the ranking in the International Classification of universities QS World University Rankings, the Center assists universities of St. Petersburg in search of the partner universities in the Asia-Pacific countries to implement programs of academic and student exchanges, joint publications, scientific and research work.

In particular, it assisted the International Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University in the selection of partner institutions and the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Shenyang Polytechnic University (China), University Kёnpuk - Kyungpook National University (Republic of Korea), University Ёngnam -Yeungnam University (Republic Of Korea). STU was among 15 Russian university program "5-100 -2020", which according to the results of the competitive selection will receive grants from the Government of the Russian Federation on the implementation of measures to promote the use of universities in international rankings.Assisted Northwest Institute of Management of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation in the selection of partner institutions in the field of municipal administration and public service in Hong Kong and Singapore. Agreements have been reached on the approval of partnership programs with the University of Hong Kong (95 in the world ranking of universities) and the National University of Singapore, School of Policy (25 in the world ranking of universities).Promoting University of St. Petersburg Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia in the signing of an agreement with the South Korean Kёngil University (Department of Fire Safety of Kyungil University).

October 24, 2014 in the annual youth exchanges between China and Russia NP "Center of Asia-Pacific" held a round table with the participation of the Youth Federation of Guangdong Province, China, and representatives of student councils of St. Petersburg universities. The parties discussed the following issues: ways and means of stimulating the business orientation of youth, experience, business training program for young people in Russia and China.

November 7, 2014 Center organized a presentation at the National Research Institute of Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg with the participation of the delegation of the Federation of Social Sciences, Henan Province, China. The two sides held a presentation of analytical research centers (think tank) and laboratories on the basis of the HSE and the Chinese Federation, discussed the directions of research centers, the implementation of joint research and international projects.

In cooperation with the sister city St. Petersburg - Daegu (South Korea), from 10 to 15 August 2014 in the city of Daegu held an international student festival "Daegu Youth Camp 2014", organized by the South Korean University Ёngnam (Yeungnam University), with the assistance of the Government g.Degu. The festival was attended by more than 100 students, including those from Russia. With the assistance of Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center " St. Petersburg was represented at the festival by a delegation of students and graduate students. During the festival, the students made a presentation of St. Petersburg, attended the sessions of the Korean language and culture, martial arts, archery, Korean music, visited local attractions. August 9, 2014 Center organized an annual festival at the Children's recreation camp "amicably" with the participation of leaders and learners of the Chinese Children's Art Society in Hangzhou, China. The festival program included the introduction of Chinese and Russian students and teachers; a tour of the children's camp; familiarity with creative circles; theater performance of Chinese students (dance "Mom" song, ballet, playing the bamboo flute); a lesson in Chinese calligraphy and drawing; Russian school performance; drawing contest; joint play "Merry starts".

 With a summary of the activities previously carried out by the Centre may be as follows:  

Asia and Pacific Collaboration Center has been working on the development of tourism between St. Petersburg and the Asia Pacific countries. As part of the Year of Chinese Tourism in Russia in St. Petersburg held a presentation of the city of Ningbo - "health resort and spa on Lake Duntszyan" Zhuji city - "the center of China's growing freshwater pearls," the city of Kaifeng - "chrysanthemum city", Hangzhou City - "tourism Center on West Lake ", Fujian Province as" a leading tourist center of Asia. " Signed a framework agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism with the City Administration Chuntszo Guangxi China. Work on the development of tourism in the Republic of Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Australia.

Center is working under the development of cultural cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. March 29, 2013 with the support of Center in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in St. Petersburg hosted the Festival of Korean-Russian culture. Negotiations were on a cultural exchange of creative teams from twin cities Daegu, Shanghai; Ningxia China g.Shenchzhen.

APCC assists Youth Aerospace AVIONICS school at St. Petersburg University of Aerospace in cooperation with relevant technical educational institutions of China and the Republic of Korea to conduct joint international youth championship to launch micro-satellites in St. Petersburg.

Center developing cooperation in the field of medicine, health and sports. In 2013, the continued co-operation with the Chinese sanatorium Tangantszy g.Anshan in Liaoning province, the clinics of traditional Chinese medicine in Shanghai. Assists Korean cosmetic and medical companies in search of partners and the opening of a representative office in St. Petersburg.

 5 to 10 August 2013 in the city of Daegu, Republic of Korea, held an international student festival "Daegu Youth Camp 2013", organized by the South Korean college Yeungjin with the assistance of the Government of g.Degu. The festival was attended by 90 students, including those from Russia. With the assistance of NP "Center of Asia-Pacific" in the twin city of Daegu St. Petersburg represented by the delegation of the State University of Aerospace Instrumentation. During the festival, the students made a presentation of Russia and St. Petersburg, took part in the talent competition, sports games, visited the Korean language lessons, got acquainted with the culture of Korea. As a result of past events the delegation was given an honorary diploma.

The APC Centre participates in the annual International Youth Festival in g.Tegu (Republic of Korea), the Festival of Culture and Arts of twin cities in g.Tegu. October 2, 2012 with the support of NP "Center of Asia-Pacific" in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in St. Petersburg organized a concert of classical music on the occasion of the Foundation Day of Korea. The concert was attended by Ms. Nie We Won (lead soprano in the opera houses of Germany) and Mr Gerard Kim (lead baritone opera houses of Germany). Negotiations on a cultural exchange of creative teams with the twin cities of Shanghai, Qingdao, Daegu and others.

Center in cooperation with the Children's recreation camp "Star" has organized on August 9 joint Russian-Chinese statement - concert (folk dancing, playing musical instruments) and of St. Petersburg school pupils from the Chinese professional theater college Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, consisting of 40 people in the led by artistic director Mr. Gao Zhunde. With the assistance of Center on Agust 14 at the Children's recreation camp "Star" organized by the Russian-Chinese meeting and drawing contest among students of schools of St. Petersburg and the China Children's Art Society (Beijing, Shanghai), composed of 50 people headed by Mr. Luo Qing.
