Areas of activity

The APCC's activities cover the following areas:

- Attraction of foreign investments and loans to finance the ongoing projects in Saint Petersburg. An impressive example is the construction of a multifunctional complex "Baltic Pearl", the largest Russian-Chinese investment project implemented with the support of the governments of sister cities of St. Petersburg and Shanghai;

- Meeting with the business delegations from Asia Pacific, arriving to Russia in order to exchange experiences, establish business contacts and find opportunities for cooperation. Annually, the Center holds more than 300 such delegations;

- Development and strengthening of trade and economic relations between St. Petersburg and the Asia Pacific countries:

promoting the export of Russian goods, services, technology, promotion of domestic products on the Asian markets,

encouraging imports of high-quality products, advanced technologies and services from the Asia Pacific countries;

assistance in organizing of joint ventures, the opening production in the Asia-Pacific Special Economic Zones;

- Promoting Business in Russia and Asia-Pacific countries: consulting services (civil law, administrative law, migration law), information support, matching of business partners including organizations in Russia and the Asia-Pacific region, support of projects;

- The organization of business delegations participating in forums, conferences, seminars and professional exhibitions in Russia and Asia-Pacific countries, implementation and support of business-tours;

- The organization and assistance in the implementation of scientific, educational and cultural projects with the countries of  Asia and Pacific.
